Not Getting Notifications from Apps in Fireworks
I'm currently on Windows 10, I have the setting ticked to allow notifications from apps, I have gone into fireworks settings and made sure to select which apps can run in the background. I've also opened each app individually and selected the allow notifications setting, reloaded the apps, but I still don't get a notification. Any help is appreciated!

A small note: Firework can receive only "browser notifications" (like it works in Google Chrome). Firework cannot receive native Windows notifications. We are going to implement this functionality, but it will be not soon because we have to support three platforms (win, mac, linux).
You need to be sure that you enabled browser notifications in each service. For example Gmail should to know that you want to receive notifications. You should click ⚙ and then "Settings" in the top right, scroll down to the "Desktop notifications" section, and set "New mail notifications on". Something like this you need to do in each service.
Can you tell your Firework version? It should be something like "Firework Pro w2.23.13". You can see it in the bottom of main menu.
Can you tell which services do you use? You can tell just two or three examples.
I am using Fireworks 23.23.13 - I have gone through and enabled notifications on the apps I want notifications for. I have mightytext.net, Facebook messenger, Wunderlist, Slack as a couple examples. I seem to get the Facebook messenger notifications, but nothing else seems to pop up for me. Why am I so challenged? =) lol jk
Hi. I use Facebook messenger with notifications every day – it works. I see that we tested Slack notifications. It marked as working.
We are not tested mightytext.net and Wunderlist yet (just planed it). Maybe as a workaround formightytext.net you can use Android Messages (I also use it with notifications every day). It supports only SMS. You can add it esy from Firework catalog.
Okey. We a going to test notifications in mightytext.net, Slack and Wunderlist. I will return with result in 1-2 weeks.
I deleted MightyText and started using Android Messages. Great app! Didn't know about that one. Set up and working fine. Messenger isn't quite working yet. Do you know if I need to possibly turn on Facebook notifications in my browser to make it work?
You can try to execute following steps to make a clear experiment.
- Press (+) to create a new web app.
- Enter web application URL: https://www.messenger.com/t/
- Select “To separated profile” option under “Add” button – It will use a clear browser profile.
- Follow to the new web app.
- Login to your Facebook account – You have installed Messenger web app.
- Select ˅ on the right in the window caption.
- Select ⫶ on the left of URL field.
- Check “Allow notifications”, press “Reload” when it ask you – You have allowed notifications in the web app.
- Select pinion picture on the left top of Messenger page, and choose “Settings” (first item).
- Check “Turn on desktop notifications” (or something like that, I can’t to see it in English).
- Press “Done” – Now it should work correctly.
- Ask your friends to send you a message. :)
